Can’t believe we’re already a month into the 2017-18 Season. We have a new conductor – Anne Ralph – who has hit the floor running, and is working very hard to improve our vocal technique. It’s great fun to learn something new each week!

We have big plans for the year. Competition wise our first stop is a return to Sligo in mid November. Not only is this a wonderful festival in a beautiful city, it gives us the chance to relax and socialise during a weekend away from home.

Other competitions will be closer to home – Cork International Choral Festival, Midleton’s Feile an tSamhraidh, and Cork’s Feis Matiu in early 2018 – to name a few.

On December 3rd we’re performing at Castlemartyr Carers’ Association’s Christmas Concert. This will be the third time we’ve performed for them, and they always put on an entertaining concert.

We’ll hold our annual interchoral night on March 2nd in the Midleton Park Hotel. These nights are a lot of fun – it’s good to meet other choirs in a social setting rather than in competition. We’ll also participate in several other choirs’ interchoral nights.

Looks like a busy year ahead!
